Clara Chan
Clara holds a Bachelor's in Music Education with a minor in Psychology from San José State University in the Bay area, California.
Clara started her studies in music at the age of 6. Having won several awards at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival in piano, voice, and flute solos, Clara is also an experienced piano accompanist for ensemble rehearsals, performances, and competitions. As a member of the SJSU top chamber singers, she has performed on multiple national stages including Carnegie Hall in New York, Benaroya Hall in Seattle, and has recently toured in Spain and Portugal.
As a music teacher with 5+ years of private teaching experience, Clara believes that every person has the potential to learn music and express themselves through music. Her lessons are tailored to each student's needs while building their confidence through participating in bi-annual recitals and achieving honors in ABRSM and RCM exams. Clara is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
